Haystack Business Cards app for iPhone and iPad

I absolutely love this app. I have used it at several networking events and it allows me to share my information quickly without having to carry around a stack of business cards. I dont have any issues with the reader. I can save all my business cards quickly and it picks up the information on each card very well. I would recommend this app to other entrepreneurs!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I stumbled upon this app looking for a business card scanner to present to a group of social media experts. Haystack fits the bill! It is clean, easy to use, and very sleek. Im already a believer and only had it for 30 minutes. My only complaint so far is that all phone numbers import as cell phones, most of my contacts only list work lines- so changing that is a little cumbersome.

Ive been using this app little over six months and since then saving and organizing a business card as well as managing contacts has been very easy. You can see the contact not only on the phone but as well as online on computer. Text recognition has always worked accurately for me unless the font on the card is something unsuitable but you still get an option to re-edit before saving a card. Overall this is a great app.

It does what it needs to do. You scan the card and it would save all the contacts information. Never loose a lead.

This app is great, it takes business cards to the next level by making them digital, easy to share and most importantly they look good. The app identifies your companies logo based on your email address and so your business card has appropriate branding. Its pretty hard to find a company logo they dont have. The ease of sharing contacts makes paper cards a thing of the past, but if you are given one just use the scan function and make it digital in seconds. I have used some other similar apps and this is hands down the market leader!!

Trying to create your card on here is incredibly frustrating. I understand that this isnt a business card creator, but for the life of me I could not get my company logo to look remotely decent on a digital card - and I am a graphic designer with 15 years of experience. I played around with image sizes and resolutions until I finally just gave up. Haystack doesnt offer any image sizing guides, plus its "automatic branding" feature is a total joke that doesnt work at all. My logos are all over my website and it was trying to pull random images from sites with URLs that werent even close to mine. Completely useless...whats the point of having a digital card if it just makes you look bad?

I really miss the old CardMunch app before LinkedIn ruined it. I tried Haystack and do not recommend it. It doesnt read cards well and if you make the mistake of giving it access to your contacts, you WILL regret it. It injects mistakes into peoples titles and addresses that werent there before (for example, "1234 Pine Tree Dr, Suite B, Anytown, PA 23456 USA", with everything in its proper field, becomes "SuiteBn1234PineTreeDrAnytownPA23456USA" all on the first address field all running together. Also it links to the contacts (supposedly to keep them updated should that person change jobs) and you have to manually unlink them in order to make changes. And in some cases, I have been unable to delete contacts or save my manual changes. Finally, it appears to be the cause of a crazy problem with voice commands. I work for a large firm and have dozens of people from the same company in my address book. Since I made the mistake of installing this app, I can no longer trust Siri to text the right people by my voice command. For example, if Im driving and I say "text John Smith" (who is my office manager and someone I text daily), now Siri sends a text to another random person in the same company. This has happened multiple times, the people texted have names that are in no way similar to "John Smith", nor did they have any relation in my address book other than the same company name and main office number (which is a land line, and it is trying to text the wrong persons mobile). This is the only app Ive given access to my address book in years, and this problem started after that. So it is not definitive proof, but it sure looks like it is the cause. And of course, uninstalling it doesnt undo the damage to your Apple address book. So, while I would love an app that worked well with business cards and helped me keep my contacts up to date, THIS AINT IT.

Disabling "automatic emails" is a complete dark pattern and very spammy. This will generate garbage emails to your professional network. Deleted.

Its not clear if my business contacts are visible to Haystack.

Took a picture of a business card and it showed I had one but I couldnt pull it up. Will look for another app.
